Although Bhagalpuri have gone gaga over the selection of Torsha Sarkar from the city into top thirty of a famous reality show Indian Idol on Sony TV, the sense of their happiness and pride seems to be gradually disappearing with Torsha's repeated act of ignorance about Bhagalpur, where she was born. Some sections of the city residents have made up their mind to not to vote for her. They are angered at her introduction as herself a girl from West Bengal contrary to the fact that she belongs to Bhagalpur.
